Cookies
There are none
This site sets no cookies. Not essential ones, not analytics ones, not advertising ones. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to ask you about.
No third-party script runs on any page here either.
Visits are counted, and the counter uses no cookies — nothing is stored on or read from your device, so there is nothing to consent to. See Privacy for exactly what it records.
What it does keep
The app remembers a few things using localStorage, which is storage in your own
browser on your own device. It is not a cookie: it is never attached to a request, never
sent to a server, and cannot be read by anyone else’s site.
silent-typer:draft— the text currently in the document.-
silent-typer:settings— hold time and the other dwell dials, key size, skin, light or dark, and whether suggestions are shown. silent-typer:recent— your last 200 words, to rank suggestions.
All three are strictly necessary for the thing to work as a writing tool rather than as a demo that forgets you between reloads. Storage of that kind needs no consent under the ePrivacy rules — and in any case none of it leaves the machine.
Getting rid of it
The Clear button in the app removes the draft specifically. Clearing site data for this domain in your browser removes all three. Nothing is kept anywhere else, so there is nothing else to delete and nobody to ask.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Nothing is tracked, so these signals have nothing to switch off. They are honoured in the only way that means anything: there is no tracking code here to disable.
If this ever changes
It would be written here first. See Privacy for the fuller picture, and Why it’s free for what pays for the hosting instead of advertising.
